COVID 19 Update
Queen Street Dental is open for business as usual following Auckland moving to Covid Alert Level 1 on 7 October 2020.
While many things have changed, some things have remained the same: our commitment to your care and safety.
INFECTION CONTROL PROCEDURES
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our procedures include:
Our instrument sterilisation, clinical room changeover and cross infection prevention protocols are already of the highest standard, following New Zealand Dental Association, Dental Council of New Zealand and Ministry of Health guidelines.
Surface wipe down (all touch surfaces including dental chairs and safety glasses etc) with disinfecting wipes is a standard procedure.
We are using an anti-viral pre-treatment mouth rinse prior to treating every patient.
If team members are unwell; they will not come to work.
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked the same questions again when you are in the office.
We have hand sanitiser that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other areas in the office for you to use as needed.
Common areas and touch points in the waiting area will be cleaned on a regular basis throughout the day.
Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time. Please come on time for your appointment, but we'd prefer that you don't come in early.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please contact us on 09 373 2456.
